Step by step
- Outline the reference as beats. One line per beat, describing its job, not its words. For example: “Hook: states a surprising result” rather than the creator's actual sentence.
- Choose your topic. Pick something you actually know about. A borrowed structure carries a weak topic only so far.
- Rewrite each beat. Fill each beat's job with your own claim, story, or example. If a line could only have come from the original video, rewrite it.
- Check the result stands alone. Someone who has seen the original shouldn't recognise your script as a copy. They should only notice that it's well built.
